Dean Rojas Always have a Hawg Caller spinnerbait in your tackle box. You can do so many things with it and you can catch bass with it year-round. You can fish with it in 1 foot of water or 30 feet of water. I used a 1/2 oz. tandem willowleaf spinnerbait to take first place in the Anglers Choice championship last year. I would pull the lure across laydowns in 5 feet of water. Where there were logs next to the bank, I would pull the bait over the log and let it fall. The fish would strike as it fell. |

Randy Howell Fall is the time of the year that I once dreaded the most. I could catch bass good in the spring and summer, but when the late fall rolled around, I would get very frustrated. I have learned that if I stay in one area while fishing during fall weather, I catch more fish. In spring and summer, I catch more fish moving around different parts of a lake. My best lure for the fall is the Hawg Caller finesse worm. |

Randy Blaukat My strength is slow, methodical flipping/pitching presentations to isolated cover in hard-to-reach areas. During a win on the Alabama River last year, I used a 3/8 oz. black Lunker Lure Rattleback jig with a black trailer which I flipped to individual trees. I would make several presentations around the branches before I would move to the next one. I would also hop the jig a couple of times and try to pull it over cover as much as possible. |
